Day 1 Santiago

The South American adventure begins! As soon as you arrive at the airport, you are greeted and taken to your hotel by your private driver. After settling in, it's time to discover the capital, located at the foot of the elegant Andes Mountains. The exploration begins with a guided tour in French, in the heart of the historic center. Stop at La Moneda, an imposing presidential palace and witness to key moments in Chilean history, Casa Colorada, and the San Francisco Church, the oldest building in the city.

Your guide leads you to the top of Santa Lucía Park. From this hill, the view of the city and the Andes is breathtaking. Then, it's off to the central market, where fresh fish and seafood typical of the Pacific coast are displayed. Art lovers can stop by the Museum of Fine Arts or the La Moneda Cultural Center, which host contemporary art exhibitions and Latin American works.

To conclude this first day, head to the lively districts of Bellavista and Lastarria, where a gourmet and friendly evening awaits you.

Santiago
Day 2 Puerto Natales

In the morning, a transfer takes you to the airport, where you board a flight southbound to Puerto Natales. Upon arrival, a private transfer awaits you to take you to your hotel. After a moment of relaxation, you will discover this picturesque town, located on the shores of the Ultima Esperanza fjord.

Its colourful houses, cobbled streets, lively harbour and artisan shops create a charming setting. This welcoming and warm tour is a nice introduction before continuing your journey to the most famous national park in Patagonia.

Day 3 Torres del Paine

After breakfast at the hotel, an English-speaking guide will be waiting to accompany you to discover the Torres del Paine National Park, a biosphere reserve classified by UNESCO. Located between the South Icefield and the Patagonian steppe, this park is known for its towering mountains, glacial lakes, glaciers, and turquoise and emerald rivers.

The first stop is at the Milodón Cave, where the remains of a prehistoric animal of the same name have been found. Then, the exploration of the park continues. Dominated by its imposing granite massifs, it is home to a great diversity of flora and fauna. Throughout your tour, your guide shares their knowledge of the animals you can observe, including Chilean flamingos, torrent merganettes, Andean condors, guanacos, and Darwin's rheas.

We highly suggest the Mont Ferrier trail. From the top, the panoramic views of the Grey Glacier, Lake Toro, the Paine River, and the surrounding mountains are nothing short of spectacular!

Return to Puerto Natales by private transfer.

Day 5 El Calafate

At dawn, a private driver will take you from your hotel, after your check-out, to the bus terminal. The Patagonian adventure continues, heading to El Calafate, Argentina! Upon arrival, a private transfer awaits you to your hotel and put your bags down.

A quiet town, gateway to the Glacier National Park and the famous Perito Moreno glacier, El Calafate seduces you with its peaceful atmosphere, with its picturesque streets lined with wooden houses and small artisan shops.

Your day is at leisure, you can choose to venture to the Nimez Lagoon, less than a kilometer from the city. This natural site is a real sanctuary for more than sixty species of birds, both native and migratory, such as the Chilean flamingo, the carancho or the black-necked swan.

Day 6 Los Glaciares Park

Head to the Glacier National Park for a glacial discovery, towards Lake Argentino. The day takes place aboard a comfortable boat, where you are seated to enjoy the view to the fullest.

Your guide will show you impressive landscapes: Escuadra Bay, the Wall of the Condors, the Spegazzini Channel, and the Upsala Channel, with privileged views of the Upsala and Bertacchi glaciers.

After lunch on board, the navigation continues on the Canal de los Témpanos, giving you the opportunity to explore the northern flank of the legendary glacier.

Day 7 The Perito Moreno glacier

In the morning, you will meet your English-speaking guide for a new immersion in the park. Today, the Perito Moreno ice cream parlour is in the spotlight, a unique spectacle in the world!

With its 55 meters in height, 15 kilometers in length and 5 kilometers in width, this ice giant impresses at every glance. You hear the thud of ice blocks breaking off and collapsing into the icy waters of Lake Argentino, an unforgettable moment.

Observation is done from the wooden balconies, set up along the shore. At each stop, a different angle reveals the majesty of this ice cathedral. The atmosphere, silent at times, gives way to the powerful cracks of the ice, an unparalleled experience that will mark your senses.

Head south for a flight that drops you off at the gates of the world: Ushuaia, a legendary city nestled in the hollow of Tierra del Fuego. Here, Argentina touches its final frontier, wedged between the snow-capped peaks and crystal clear waters of the Beagle Channel.

A private driver welcomes you and takes you to your accommodation. You settle in, letting go of the fatigue of the journey. The day is at your disposal to explore the city: the center, Avenida Maipú, the bay and the port are revealed step by step. Museums open their doors, telling the stories of a territory at the edge of the world. Each step is an introduction to the southern epic that awaits you.

Ushuaia
Day 9 Departure of the Australis cruise

Your day begins in the company of an English-speaking driver-guide, who takes you to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, a protected haven of 63,000 hectares, where the unique ecosystem between the Andes and the ocean coast invites you to explore. You alternate between forests, peat bogs, steppes and coastal areas, immersed in a nature that is both wild and preserved.

In the afternoon, a private transfer takes you to the boarding area, where you join the Australis cruise, en route to the mythical Cape Horn. Pauline had the chance to experience this unique crossing in Patagonia and has unforgettable memories of it: the welcome on board is warm, with a welcome cocktail, the opportunity to meet the captain and the crew. At 8 p.m., the ship weighed anchor and headed south, between the Beagle Channel and the Strait of Magellan.

Day 10 Cape Horn

First awakening in southern waters, where you sail gently in the morning through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay, towards the Cape Horn National Park, classified as a World Biosphere Reserve since 2005. This rocky promontory, which rises almost vertically at 425 meters, was discovered in 1616. For centuries, it has been an essential route for sailing ships crossing the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

In the afternoon, the ship takes you to Wulaia Bay, a place steeped in history, once inhabited by the Yámanas, an indigenous people living in harmony with the sea. A short walk through the Magellanic forest leads you to a belvedere, where the bird's-eye view of the bay leaves you speechless, a natural picture of fascinating beauty.

Day 11 Fjord and Pía Glacier

You have been sailing since the morning towards the Pía fjord. A disembarkation allows you to reach the viewpoint and contemplate the glacier up close. The ice reliefs are revealed in all their magnificence, detailing every crevasse and reflection.

The ship anchors near the Portner Glacier, allowing you to take in the exceptional panoramic views. Zodiacs are put in the water so that you can walk along the rock walls. A short walk is necessary to reach the impressive glacial waterfalls.

Back on board, the exchanges with the guides and other passengers prolong the wonder of the excursion.

Day 12 The Condor Glacier

In the early morning, you can admire the Cockburn Canal through the window, and you enter the Golf Agostini. The Darwin Cordillera is revealed, its glaciers plunging directly into the sea like white stone flows. A disembarkation awaits you near a lagoon born from the melting of the Aguila glacier.

In the afternoon, the zodiacs take you as close as possible to the Condor glacier. The steep walls of the Fuegian canals are revealed, sculpting a mineral setting where the land seems to have retained its wildest face.

Day 13 Magdalena Island and Punta Arenas

At dawn, you disembark on Magdalena Island. The lighthouse looms on the horizon, sentinel of a world populated by penguins. Their clumsy gait on land contrasts with their absolute elegance in icy waters, where they become living torpedoes. In September and April, Marta Island replaces this stopover. Zodiacs approach you to the shores where a colony of sea lions sprawls, turning the rocks into a chaos of furs and massive bodies.

The ship docks in Punta Arenas. A private driver awaits you at the port to take you to the hotel. Once you have recovered from your emotions, the city offers itself to your exploration: a unique mirror where colonial culture and maritime heritage are reflected. Its port, the southernmost point of mainland South America, is also an access point for a cruise to Antarctica.

There, your English-speaking guide immerses you in the history and culture of this iconic port city. You'll explore must-see landmarks such as Plaza Sotomayor, the Naval Museum, the Reina Victoria Elevator, and the House Museum of Pablo Neruda, the legendary poet and Nobel Prize winner for literature.

The bohemian atmosphere, the omnipresent street art and the local gastronomy, typical of Chilean coastal cities, add to the uniqueness of Valparaíso, a destination that never fails to make an impression.
